Saturday, May 18

Left Adare this am. Rick is driving to Dingle. We stopped in a pub for lunch and ate Irish stew and shopped. Then we traveled through Killarney National Park and drove the Connor Pass and around some of the Ring of Kerry to get to Kenmare where we are staying in a Bed and Breakfast for the next 2 days. Honestly, I cannot stress enough how narrow the roads are. We had to pull over the side of the road if two cars are passing at the same time, and the cars are little. Buses traveling in opposite direction from you...scares you to death. We traveled on huge mountains with sheep everywhere, even in the roads. Many times the vegetation would brush the side of the car. When we got to Dingle, all the signs are just in Gaelic, so hard to determine the name of places. The Bed & Breakfast is very warm. We went to a pub for dinner and now we are back in the lounge relaxing. Life is good. Tomorrow we will travel the Ring of Bera. God help us and....."the saints preserve us".
